What can you expect

 

In this position, you will be responsible for managing individual and group reservations for rooms, restaurants, spa, and bars. As an essential member of the commercial team of Hotel Okura Amsterdam, you play a crucial role in defining and implementing commercial strategies while overseeing the performance of the reservations department. Additionally, you and your team focus on achieving revenue targets and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. As a leader and coach, you also optimize the performance of your team in line with organizational goals. You will also closely collaborate with other departments in our commercial division, such as Sales, Conference & Events, Revenue Management, and Marketing & Communication. Your main tasks will include: 

 

  • Monitoring daily operations of the department;
  • Optimizing revenues across all departments;
  • Close collaboration with all restaurants and front office for the ultimate guest experience;
  • Ensuring timely and error-free communication with all guests and colleagues;
  • Improving the efficiency and quality of work of the reservations department according to the LEAN culture.In addition to working within your own team, you will also collaborate closely with other teams within the hotel because only by working together can we achieve the best results. Your working days can vary from Monday to Sunday between 08:00 AM and 19:00 PM. You are expected to occasionally attend projects and networking events.

 

What do we offer?

     
  • Contract: 1 year with the possibility of extending. We want you to stay!
  • Salary: Group 8. Click here for the salary scale 
  • Bonus: 1 month salary if SMART goals are met
  • 8% holiday allowance (pro rata)
  • 25 days of annual leave (pro rata);

  • Once a year staff discount in one of the restaurants (50%);

  • A dry cleaning fee of net € 20.00 per month;
  • Contribution to travel expenses from 10 km (one way);
  • After obtaining the probationary period, you will receive an overnight stay with breakfast as a gift (2 people), so that you can experience the hotel as a guest.

  • You have work experience in a similar position
  • You have a good command of the Dutch and English language (both spoken as written);
  • You are commercially driven;

  • Sales experience is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of the PMS System Opera is an advantage.
