What to expect:
As the Commercial Director of Hotel Okura Amsterdam, a leading Hotel of the World, you are responsible for the commercial strategies and activities of the full organisation, including guest rooms, Ciel Bleu**, Yamazato*, Sazanka, Serre, the Conference facilities, the Bars, Nagomi Gym & Wellness, Nagomi Spa and Human Resources.
You will oversee the Commercial department, including the Marketing, Sales, Groups & Events and Reservations Departments.
You are part of the Management team and will work closely with the General Manager, Deputy General Manager, Director of F&B, VP Finance, IT Director and Human Resources Manager and will report to the General manager.
You are responsible for the development of the annual commercial plans, managing the hotel’s reputation at the highest level, and position the hotel and its facilities as the first choice for both business and leisure travellers
What to expect:
The Commercial Director (CD) at Hotel Okura Amsterdam (HOA), a leading Hotel of the World (LHW), is responsible for the commercial strategies and activities of Hotel Okura Amsterdam including guest rooms, Ciel Bleu**, Yamazato*, Sazanka, Serre, the Conference facilities, the Bars, Nagomi Gym & Wellness, Nagomi Spa and Human Resources.
This person oversees the Commercial department and has direct reports, including the Marketing, Sales, Conference & Events and Reservations Departments.
He/she is part of Management team and works closely with General Manager, Deputy General Manager, Director of F&B, VP Finance, IT Director and Human Resources Manager and reports to the General manager.
He/she develops the annual plan together with the Commercial Leadership Team (CLT) and manages the company’s reputation at the highest level.
What do we offer?
- Contract: 1 year with the possibility of extending to indefinite contract

- Bonus: 3 months when the division and personal goals are achieved and the hotel reaches the budgeted GOP (Gross Operating Profit)

What are we asking?
- You have a completed bachelor education
- You have experience with creating and implementing a long-term commercial strategy
- You have experience in public relations
- You have excellent leadership skills and commercially driven
- You have a strong sense of responsibility, you are integer and you have good communication skills
- You have a good command of the Dutch and English language
- You are capable to operate independently and objectively
- You are capable of managing large and complex projects

Case
For this position, we ask you to prepare for a case. You will receive more information about the content of the case after the first interview. You can prepare the case from home and shall present it during the second interview.
Second interview
In this interview, we will dive a bit deeper into the position itself as we will ask you questions about your competencies and more detailed questions about your previous experience in relation to the position.
