Director Marketing & Branding
Hotel Okura Amsterdam is renowned for its exceptional service. We continuously strive to enhance our guest experience and optimize our business performance. Therefore, we are looking for an enthusiastic Director of Marketing & Branding, who can develop and execute marketing, branding, and communication strategies that position Hotel Okura Amsterdam as a leader in luxury hospitality. This role involves broad responsibilities within the organization, advising key stakeholders and overseeing digital marketing, public relations (PR), brand partnerships, employer branding, and internal/external communications to drive revenue growth and brand positioning.
What will you do?
- Develop and implement a long-term branding and marketing strategy aligned with commercial goals.
- Ensure consistent brand positioning across all digital, print, and guest communication channels.
- Strengthen employer branding in partnership with HR to enhance talent attraction and engagement.
- Safeguard the hotel’s reputation, ensuring all messaging reflects its luxury positioning.
- Lead digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, CRM, and social media, to optimize visibility and conversion.
- Partner with the Commercial Director (CD) and Revenue Team to develop data-driven campaigns that drive occupancy and ADR.
- Collaborate with OTAs, luxury platforms, and digital agencies to maximize direct bookings and market reach.
- Serve as the hotel's primary media representative, managing relationships with press and influencers.
- Develop a proactive PR strategy to secure high-profile coverage in luxury travel and lifestyle media.
- Work with the CD and General Manager (GM) on crisis communication, ensuring a strategic and unified response.
- Develop brand partnerships to enhance visibility in key target markets.
- Oversee the planning and execution of high-impact branded events and activations.
- Work closely with HR and the CD to position the hotel as an employer of choice.
- Lead internal communication to ensure employees embody brand values and guest experience standards.
Working Days & Hours
Preferably, you are available five days per week. Working days and hours are Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 17:00. Flexibility for events is required.
Who are you?
- You have strong leadership skills and a strategic vision.
- You have 5+ years of experience in marketing, branding, and communication, preferably in the luxury hospitality industry.
- You are results-oriented and can develop revenue-driven marketing strategies.
- You have a strong understanding of digital marketing, PR, and social media trends.
- You have excellent storytelling and brand management skills.
- You are an excellent communicator and can manage media relations and crisis communication effectively.
- You are creative, innovative, and data-driven in your approach.
- You have experience in managing brand partnerships and high-impact events.
- You speak fluent English; fluency in Dutch is a plus.

- Contract: 1-year contract with the possibility of extension to a permanent contract
