What to Expect

The Groups & Events department is responsible for organizing unforgettable events for both corporate and private clients. With 20 banquet rooms, 300 hotel rooms, 5 restaurants, 2 bars, and the Nagomi Spa & Health, we ensure that every guest's wish comes true. Our team is highly creative and dedicated to finding solutions for every guest’s needs and preferences.

From organizing conferences, group stays, and seminars to charity galas, fashion shows, intimate dinners, and extravagant weddings—no two days or events are ever the same!

As a Groups & Events Trainee, you will work closely with the department to create exceptional group stays and events in one of the most luxurious 5-star conference facilities in the Netherlands. You will gain hands-on experience in contract management, event planning, and organization. This internship is highly dynamic and provides a great opportunity to develop yourself in a fast-paced environment.

Your Main Tasks

  • Organizing and planning conferences and events
  • Booking meeting rooms
  • Managing room lists for travel groups
  • Assisting with contract agreements
  • Preparing work schedules
  • Informing various operational departments about events, such as Banqueting, Reservations, and Front Office
  • Communicating with different stakeholders
  • Providing administrative support to the department

Don’t worry—you won’t be working alone! In addition to working within your own team, you’ll collaborate closely with other teams within the hotel. After all, teamwork is key to achieving the best results.

Working hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, you may occasionally be required to work in the evenings or on weekends to assist during events. Additionally, you will have one designated day per week to work on your school assignments or thesis.

  • Contract: Internship contract for a minimum of 6 months, starting in September 2025
  • Compensation: Competitive internship allowance of €750 (gross) per month for a full-time internship
  • Vacation days: One day off per month for a six-month internship agreement

What We’re Looking For

We are primarily interested in getting to know you and providing you with the best possible internship experience. In addition, we expect:

  • You are currently studying at a Hotel Management School or a Bachelor's program in Event Management (HBO level)
  • You have strong communication skills
  • You are discreet and can handle confidential information
  • You have excellent computer skills
  • You have a good command of the English language; Dutch is a plus (both written and spoken)
